Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share is a weekly delivery of fresh vegetables and herbs during the peak of our growing season from Late July through October. Each week features a unique mix of produce, chosen by Sweet Hollow’s farmers to showcase the best of the harvest. We consider many less commonly available crops to be important to grow and promote, including foods like purslane, ground cherries, perilla and amaranth greens. Our selection also incorporates classic farmers market staples like kale, heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers, basil, and more. When you buy a Sweet Hollow Farm share you’re receiving some of the freshest, most unique local produce available– but at its best your CSA share isn’t just a box of vegetables! |
Membership in our CSA is meant to be an ongoing conversation and connection to building community stewardship of food, land, and interdependence. What we choose to grow is shaped by our members whenever possible, and always guided by our farmers’ understanding of the needs of the land we farm. The food we grow tells a story that goes deeper than dominant narratives of sustainability and health by centering the need for locally grown food that reflects the diversity of cultures, cuisines, and histories that flow through our kitchens. As community farmers, we get to practice care and reciprocity everyday– with the land and ecosystem, with you and yours as our community members, and with ourselves as we tend to the roots of Sweet Hollow as a multiracial, queer worker-owned cooperative farm. We bring joy to this work through all its challenges and charms. We honor your trust, engagement, and patronage of our farm- thank you! |
